Tables are included in the SolidWorks application, and are located in:install_dir\lang\language\Sheet Metal Gauge Tables. If you create a sheet metal gauge table, use a semi colon - ; - as a delimiter between values. With gauge tables, the radii and angles can differ. However, you must list the thickness and radii values in ascending order.
A36 Steel Plate Midwest Steel & AluminumA36 Steel Plate is offered in thicknesses 1/4" through 6". Steel plate is processed by flame cutting or High Def Plasma cutting. Hi Def Plasma is utilized to sizes 1" and under, over 1" is flame cut. A36 Steel plate has a 36,000 min yield strength.
A36 steel is a mild carbon steel with a very simple chemical structure. Because the chemical structure is so simple, the steel is cheaper to manufacture than more specialized steels, resulting in A36 being used in a wide range of industries. However, its strength and other structural properties degrade sharply at high temperatures, where a more
ASTM A36 Baden Steelbar & Bolt Corp.A36 is a ASTM International specification for carbon steel. The A36 carbon steel specification covers shapes, plates and bars of structural quality. It is used in riveted, bolted or welded construction of bridges, buildings and for general structural purposes.

These ASTM A36 Carbon Steel Sheets & Plates have a wide range of applications which depends on their thickness and corrosion resistance properties of the alloy used. Some of the products that are manufactured using these plates which includes buildings, commercial structures, cabinets, enclosure and housing, Pipe and tubing.
How to add the thickness of sheet metal as gauge in a layoutOct 05, 2016 · For example, an 18 gauge is equivalent to a thickness of 0.0359in for a steel part. It is possible to use this kind of table in the sheet metal function of SOLIDWORKS. On the other hand, for the thickness property, it is the numerical value which will be used. Thus in the layout everything will be indicated in inches.
